This month’s Employee Spotlight shines on Hilary Mays, one of M3’s senior designers and one of the longest-tenured members of the team. Hilary joined M3 in 2013 and brought with her more than 30 years of design experience—along with an exceptional eye for detail and a rare gift for truly listening to clients. From the initial consultation to the final walkthrough, she translates ideas into stunning, functional spaces that work as beautifully as they look.
What sets Hilary apart isn’t just the depth of her knowledge—it’s how she puts it to work. She approaches every project with curiosity and creativity, never losing sight of the people who will ultimately live and work in the spaces she designs. Her attention to detail is matched only by her commitment to getting it right.
Partner Alisa speaks to Hilary’s reliability and drive. Hilary manages some of the office’s largest projects, and does it with a consistently positive attitude and what Alisa describes as a “Can Win, Must Win” approach. Away from the drafting table, Hilary spends time with her son Henry and pursues her other passions with characteristic self-awareness: crafting (poorly, by her own admission), cooking for friends (badly), and putting googly eyes on absolutely everything—the one hobby she claims to do perfectly.
