A New Chapter for M3 Office
Honoring the Past, Embracing the Future
After nearly three decades of partnership, leadership, and friendship, M3 Office has officially completed a transition to new ownership. Founders Terry McCarthy and Patti Murphy, who established M3 in 1997 after working together at Haworth, have retired—passing the torch to the next generation of leaders: Kevin McCarthy, Alisa Lansdale, and Shellee Ortega.
This milestone marks the culmination of six years of thoughtful planning to ensure a seamless transition. For those who know Terry and Patti, it comes as no surprise that their legacy extends far beyond business—they’ve built a company defined by relationships, trust, and a genuine love for the people they’ve worked alongside.
The M3 team gathered in October at Santa Anita Park to celebrate Terry and Patti’s retirement, sharing stories, laughter, and heartfelt tears. The event was both a farewell and a tribute to the leadership that shaped M3’s culture and success.
As M3 moves forward under new ownership, the values that Terry and Patti instilled remain at the heart of everything the company does. The next chapter is one of growth, innovation, and continued commitment to clients, partners, and the team that makes it all possible.
“Our goal throughout this process has been to ensure a seamless transition, while also honoring the legacy of Terry and Patti, who built M3 and set us up for continued success moving forward,” said Shellee Ortega.
The M3 leadership team—Kevin, Alisa, and Shellee—extend their deepest gratitude to Terry and Patti for their decades of dedication and vision. They also thank the M3 team and partners for their continued trust and support as the company begins this exciting new era.
Here’s to the legacy that built M3 and to the future that will carry it forward!
